Authorities said a Dubuque man who was “not satisfied” with where a rental company truck was parked decided to illegally enter the vehicle and backed it into a mobile home.

Richard D. Hos, 63, of 9442 Noonan St., No. 713, faces a charge of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Authorities said two Rent A Center employees were delivering an item to Hos’ neighbor on Wednesday. Hos apparently “was not satisfied with where the vehicle was parked,” according to court documents.

Hos allegedly got into the driver’s seat of the truck without permission and attempted to move it closer to his neighbor’s door. However, he backed the vehicle into the rear corner of the mobile home, causing an estimated $500 damage.

Deputies from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department met with Hos, who admitted striking the mobile home, according to court documents.
