A Cedar Rapids, Iowa, man accused of pointing a gun at a woman and ordering her to undress at a Dubuque home has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Daniel Y. Rhone, 24, recently pleaded not guilty in Iowa District Court for Dubuque County to assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. His trial is set for July 29.

Court documents state the alleged incident took place at about 10:30 a.m. May 20 at a Dubuque residence. A woman told police Rhone messaged her to meet him at a Dubuque home.

The Telegraph Herald does not identify victims of alleged sexual crimes.

The woman told police she believed the two would “smoke a blunt” or talk, documents said. However, the woman said Rhone pointed a handgun at her and yelled, “Take all your clothes off.”

She told police she ran from the house. Police said they found a handgun during a search of the residence.
