Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce marked a milestone on Saturday with the 10th anniversary of its flagship community fundraiser, Dancing with the Stars: Dubuque Style.

Ten contestants paired with local dance professionals kicked up their heels for a variety of local causes and organizations at Five Flags Theater, raising $281,467.62, according to chamber officials.

Amy Wright, director of maternal child services at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center, was the night’s winner, raising $144,100 for the Mercy Health Foundation Bereavement Suite.

Second-place honors, as well as the Judges’ Choice award with a perfect dance score, went to Jared McGovern, senior education manager at National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, who raised $43,333.09 on behalf of the museum.

Third-place winner Yvette Saeugling, owner of Crossroads Counseling Center, netted $22,214 for Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa.

Other dancersBen White, president of Midwest Freeriders and Real Estate Agent for American Realty, raised $20,830 for Midwest Freeriders.

Robin McEnany, mortgage loan officer at Collins Community Credit Union, raised $18,456.85 for Research for the Kids.

Angie Hohmann, executive director of Live Like Jack, raised $11,071.68 for her organization.

Renee Tyler, director of transportation services for the City of Dubuque, raised $7,100 for the Fountain of Youth Program.

Mike Clasen, commercial banker at Dubuque Bank & Trust, raised $6,500 for the Veterans Freedom Center.

Chris Puetz, training coordinator at Cottingham & Butler and head coach at CrossFit Restoration, raised $4,278 for the Tri-State Mountain Bike Riders.

Abigail Gutierrez, of 7 Hills Brewing Co., raised $3,584 for the Key City Creative Center.
