Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in downtown Dubuque.

Hannah M.M. Anderson, 17, of Hazel Green, Wis., and Thomas J. Bastian, 44, of Peosta, Iowa, were taken to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment, according to a Dubuque police report.

The crash occurred at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Dodge and Locust streets. The report states that Anderson was turning west onto Dodge from Locust when she lost control of her vehicle. She veered to the left, drove over the median and hit three eastbound vehicles stopped at the intersection.

They were driven by Cindy L. Schneider, 60, of Dubuque; Frederick S. McClory, 58, of Glenview, Ill.; and Bastian. Anderson’s vehicle also struck a traffic barrier, causing $1,000 worth of damage to that barrier.

Anderson was cited with failure to maintain control of her vehicle.
