Dubuque's Fengler Street overpass set for closure starting Saturday

This map supplied by the City of Dubuque shows detours in effect during a closure of the Fengler Street overpass set to begin Saturday. The overpass is scheduled to be closed until Saturday, June 29, as part of a sanitary sewer reconstruction project.

A Dubuque overpass soon will close for two weeks.

The Fengler Street overpass will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, June 15, to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 29, the city announced Thursday.

A press release states that the closure is related to the Kerper Boulevard sanitary sewer reconstruction project.

The detour will take northbound motorists along Rhomberg Avenue to Hawthorne Street, then onto Kerper.

Southbound motorists will be detoured on Rhomberg Avenue to Elm and 16th streets en route to Kerper.
