Galena Arts and Recreation Center will hold an open house to share its new location with the public.

The free event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Residents can explore the ARC’s new building at the former Tri-State Christian School, located at 11084 U.S. 20.

Attendees also can learn about upcoming summer programs, meet the child care and art directors and participate in a painting party, according to an event announcement.

The opening of the new site was delayed by several days when issues arose securing state licensing for the new facility. However, ARC announced Friday that it had received state approval to open its child care services.

ARC’s former facility at 413 Bench St. remains up for sale.
