GALENA, Ill. — A Galena man faces charges for allegedly getting into an argument with workers at a neighboring bed-and-breakfast while he wore a holstered pistol.

Silas E. Pepple, 33, is charged in Jo Daviess County Circuit Court with unlawful use of weapons, criminal trespassing and four counts of aggravated assault.

The charges relate to a June 4 incident. Court documents state Pepple, who lives at 336 Spring St., went onto the property of Farmers Guest House, 334 Spring St., and got into an argument with three men working at the business. Documents said Pepple was wearing a holstered pistol during the confrontation, which put the men in “reasonable apprehension” of being assaulted.

Documents said Pepple previously was told by the business owner to stay off of the property.
