Season series: The Black Hawks have won three of the four meetings in the season series heading into the final two matchups. Waterloo has won two straight in the series and has outscored the Saints, 18-7.

Outlook: While Dubuque is pretty much locked into the sixth seed in the USHL’s Eastern Conference, Waterloo remains in the hunt for the No. 2 seed and the first-round playoff bye in the Western Conference. The Black Hawks and Sioux Falls have matching 37-16-5-2 records heading into the final two games of the regular season. Sioux Falls hosts Sioux City tonight and Des Moines on Saturday night. The playoffs begin Monday, with the No. 3 seed in each conference hosting the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed. Dubuque probably won’t know its playoff opponent until late Saturday night, but Cedar Rapids, Chicago and Youngstown are the most likely candidates.

Cowbell Cup at stake: Cedar Rapids leads the Cowbell Cup standings at 7-4-1 for 15 points, followed by Waterloo at 6-3-1 for 13 points and Dubuque at 3-6-1 for 7 points. The Cowbell Cup is awarded to the Eastern Iowa team with the best head-to-head record.

Fan Appreciation Night: The Saints will host Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday. The first 1,000 fans will receive a team poster. One lucky fan will also earn $5,000 as part of the Winning Edge drawing presented by American Trust.
