Cascade, Iowa, native Colin Rea received a no-decision on Saturday night ,when the Iowa Cubs took a 8-7 loss against Albuquerque in a Triple-A Pacific Coast League game in Des Moines.
The 28-year-old right-hander allowed two runs, both earned, on four hits in six innings of work. He struck out five, walked three and threw 60 of his 98 pitches for strikes.
Rea is 6-1 with a 3.31 ERA and has 53 strikeouts and 24 walks in 65 1/3 innings covering 12 games this season.
Iowa (34-29) held a three-game lead on Omaha for first place in the American Northern Division heading into Sunday’s action.
