One more COVID-19-related death was reported in Dubuque County between May 18 and Wednesday, while the number of people with the coronavirus who were hospitalized in Dubuque fell to four.

Related deaths: During the seven-day period, one more COVID-19-related death was reported in Dubuque County, while no new deaths were reported in Grant, Iowa, Crawford or Lafayette counties in Wisconsin nor in Jo Daviess County, Ill. Dubuque County’s death toll now stands at 298.

Hospitalizations: There were a total of four people with COVID-19 hospitalized Wednesday at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital and MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. The total was three lower than one week earlier.

COVID-19 community level: As of Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rated the COVID-19 community level as medium for Dubuque and Jackson counties in Iowa, Jo Daviess County in Illinois and Iowa County, Wis. The other counties in the local tri-state area remain at low transmission rate.
