Make A Difference Day : Volunteer

Volunteers make the projects successful! The most important resource our community has is its people. Volunteers who work, who invest and who care about making a long-term change in the community make it a better place to live, work, play and do business.

Volunteer teams will come from organizations within the community. This is a great opportunity to lend a helping hand for service clubs, civic and fraternal groups, church groups, neighborhood associations, businesses, employee groups and other organizations. All community groups are invited to participate and to recruit one or more 6-person team to help with this worthwhile and much-needed project. Organizations can sign up to participate and report their team leaders by filling in the sign-up sheet below.

Volunteers are also needed the day of the event to help with set up, sign in, serving food, clean up, etc. If you are interested in helping the day of the event, please contact Hobie Wood by clicking here or calling 563-556-5130 x14.

In order to provide the best experience for our volunteers and our residents, all teams must be enrolled by OCTOBER 1, 2016. This allows us to visit each home, order materials and prepare a package for each home prior to the day of the event.

Thank you for enrolling your team for Andrew Connolly Make A Difference Day.

This is our 10th year to Make A Difference for those in need in our community.

Please plan to send one representative from your team to attend the TEAM LEADER TRAINING. The date, time, and location of that meeting has not yet been determined. Watch your e-mail for more information.

The training will include a review of the tasks that your team may perform, talk about the logistics for the day of the event, distribute t-shirts and possibly share the address of the person you will be helping that day.

We will be in contact with you in October with more details. If you have questions, please contact Hobie Wood at hwood@operationnewview.org.
