ASBURY, Iowa -- An overnight barn fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage, according to authorities.

Emergency personnel at 3 a.m. today responded to 6426 Asbury Road after receiving a report of a barn fire, according to a press release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department. The barn was fully engulfed and was deemed a total loss.

Asbury Fire Chief Dave Grass said no one was injured.

According to the release, “nothing of great value was believed to be missing.” Deputies said the fire does not appear to be suspicious.

Grass said 15 firefighters responded. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said.
