Local indie film director, actor and producer Will Martel, along with indie director Clint Heiberger, soon will begin shooting two short films in Dubuque under the umbrella of Martel’s production company, Dragon Whip Entertainment.
Martel has written the adaptation and will direct “Cain Rose Up,” originally a Stephen King short story. Heiberger will direct and Martel will star in “Blind Faith,” a story of legendary blues icon Robert Johnson. Both productions soon will begin filming in and around Dubuque.
Martel and Heiberger also host a podcast called “The POP Culture Cafe” that can be seen live on Facebook every other week.
