SINSINAWA, Wis. — Sinsinawa Mound will host a pair events for those experiencing loss during the holiday season.
- “Grief Retreat: Journey Toward Wholeness” will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Participants will reflect on losses and discover how loss can lead to greater wholeness and holiness. Sister Mary Hopkins, OP, is a certified grief specialist and will lead the retreat. The cost is $50 per person, which includes lunch. The registration deadline is Monday, Nov. 29.
- “Remembering Our Loved Ones at Holiday Time” will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5. The ecumenical service will honor family and friends who have died by displaying a personalized ornament on a tree. Participants will be invited to receive the ornament as their loved one is named. The service is a living memorial and aims to provide an opportunity for families to experience a meaningful ritual. To participate, call 608-748-4411, ext. 811, by Friday, Nov. 26.
