Dubuque officials report that a clogged sanitary sewer line led untreated wastewater to drain into a creek Saturday.

The line issue on Admiral Street was reported at about 1 p.m., and the blockage was removed by 2 p.m., according to a press release. The wastewater drained into a creek between Admiral Street and the Northwest Arterial.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources advises people to keep their children and pets away from the area for 48 hours.
