Heavy rains over the past two nights caused sanitary sewer overflows at two locations in Dubuque.
City officials said Friday morning that overflows have been recorded on West Locust Street and Rosedale Avenue. The overflows occurred Wednesday and Thursday nights, according to a press release.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep children and pets away from the affected area for 48 hours. Signs about the overflows have been posted.
