BOSCOBEL, Wis. — Authorities on Wednesday released details about a rollover crash Saturday near Boscobel that left two people injured.
Colton Rutherford, 23, of Boscobel, and Amber Friederick, 19, of Fennimore, both were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash occurred at about 9:10 p.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 133 west of Boscobel. The release states that Rutherford was driving west when his vehicle left the road “at a high rate of speed,” hit a driveway and “went airborne for over 150 feet.” The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its side.
Both Rutherford and his passenger, Friederick, were entrapped after the wreck and had to be freed by firefighters, the release indicates.
