Police said a woman was killed today when she was struck by a vehicle in Dubuque.
Police responded at about 11:50 a.m. to the entrance of the Port of Dubuque Parking Ramp, adjacent to Diamond Jo Casino, after receiving a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, Lt. Ted McClimon said.Â
The pedestrian, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
McClimon said the woman was crossing the private drive that leads into the parking ramp when she was struck by a vehicle pulling into the ramp from Bell Street.
McClimon said the names of the people involved in the incident are expected to be released in the coming days.
"We're still working through everything," he said late this afternoon.
