DARLINGTON, Wis. — Police said a Darlington sex offender who cut off his tracking bracelet was arrested early Friday at a local bar.

Matthew Buman, 48, of Darlington, was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. “at a local tavern only a block away from his residence,” according to a press release.

Police took to social media on Thursday for the public’s help in locating Buman. They reported that he had cut off his GPS tracking bracelet and that his whereabouts were unknown.
