MONTICELLO, Iowa — A country music star with 11 No. 1 singles is coming to the Great Jones County Fair.

Hank Williams Jr. will take the stage with Tracy Byrd on Thursday, July 21, in Monticello, the fair announced this morning. 

Tickets for the show are $45 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 9. They will be available at

Williams' chart-topping singles include “All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down),” “Ain’t Misbehavin” and “Born to Boogie.” Among Williams’ other hits are “A Country Boy Can Survive” and “Family Tradition.”

The son of country legend Hank Williams has released 56 studio albums during his career.

Byrd has recorded 18 songs that have cracked the top 20 on Billboard’s Country Airplay charts, including No. 1 hits “Holdin’ Heaven” and “Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo.” Byrd performed in September during the third annual Benefit the Vets concert at Worthington Memorial Hall.

Fair officials previously announced Lee Brice and Brothers Osborne as co-headliners for the Friday, July 22, show. No announcement has been made yet regarding the entertainment on Saturday, July 23.
