A longtime local radio host has died of COVID-19.
WJOD reported today that longtime "Good Morning Rodeo" host Tom Brenner had died. Brenner hosted the show until his retirement in 2017.
"Tom was an integral part of the success of WJOD for nearly 25 years before his retirement," stated the online announcement. "His heart was bigger than most. His love and compassion for friends (including the furry ones), co-workers and the Milwaukee Brewers was undeniable. Tom's passing is not just a loss for the radio world, but a loss for mankind."
The radio station had been updating followers in recent weeks on Brenner's battle with COVID-19, which had landed him in the hospital. The radio station previously reported that Brenner and his wife had both contracted COVID-19 in late September.
