Pork group plans Platteville event
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Platteville will be one of four sites for the Wisconsin Pork Association’s regular meetings this week across Wisconsin.
It will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Ag Tech Center.
The association is reaching out to all pork producers to get their feedback on industry issues and programs. Each event will include a meal followed by the meeting.
Representatives from the National Pork Board and National Pork Producers Council are expected to attend.
This is an opportunity to learn more about the checkoff and non-checkoff programs as well as industry trends, but the most important part of the program is networking with the producers.
Reservations are required for the meal, but walk-ins are welcome to attend the meeting.
