Authorities said a Dubuque man was one of two people killed in a crash Wednesday in Michigan.
John F. Manion, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to local authorities. The other driver in the crash, Mary J. Buchanan, 30, of Lansing, was taken to a hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., where she died from her injuries.
The crash occurred at about 2 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 96 in the area of Howell, Mich. A press release states that Manion is believed to have been driving east in the interstate's westbound lanes when his vehicle collided head on with the one driven by Buchanan. A 28-year-old passenger in Buchanan's vehicle also was injured, suffering a broken jaw.
