Dubuque Community School Board members this week got a first look at the renovated auditorium at Dubuque Senior High School, as well as other areas of the school that recently were updated during an ongoing $34 million project.
Hempstead High School
Dubuque Community Schools officials have named a Hempstead High School administrator as the campus’ next principal.
A current Hempstead High School administrator will become principal of the school later this year.
After earning a 33 on her first attempt at the ACT last summer, Cora Harvey was pleased with her score.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Grant Glausser (Western Dubuque) – Glausser rushed 19 times for 205 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bobcats (2-2) to a 48-6 victory at Dubuque Hempstead. A week earlier, he ran 29 times for 216 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-30 victory over Iowa City Liberty.
With Walker Tart on the football field, the options are endless for the Dubuque Senior football team.
Jack Menster (Cascade) — The Cascade running back ran for 202 yards on 17 carries and recorded four touchdowns in a dominating 46-7 win over Anamosa on Friday night. This season, Menster has 52 carries for 415 yards and six touchdowns, with a long of 68.
